Skydance Paramount Set to Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – News

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to start significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction are a result of the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are expected, with the company aiming to disclose full details in its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports stated that Paramount was looking to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by early November.

As of December 2024, the company employed about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 contract workers.

The company has not yet commented to a request for comment.
